ABOUT US

 

 

Hughes Road Montessori was founded in 2003 by Reverend Carol Record, whose dream is to serve children with the most unique style of education. We are conveniently located off 121 and Glade Road in Grapevine. Although we are located in the Center of Unity, we do not teach religion.

 

From its inception, Hughes Road Montessori School has been committed to respecting each child's individual learning process. Our teachers work one on one with each child to understand how they best learn and encourage their progress. We not only teach school lessons but life lessons.

 

Montessori emphasizes learning through all five senses. We reinforce this concept through manipulative materials. Each child learns at their own pace within the Montessori environment offering them the opportunity to grow to their full potential and excel in their areas of interest, regardless of age. If you are looking for a system in which you can compare your child to other children, then Montessori is not for you. Though the Montessori Method does not compare a child's ability with others, their development is closely monitored in order to take them to the next level.

We offer a "Beginner Program" and a "Primary Program." Our Beginner class ranges from 18 month to 3 years of age, while our Primary class is from 3 years through 6 years (depending on birthday).  Our teachers are Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) or American Montessori Society (AMS) trained as well as CPR/First Aid. 

 

We offer Spanish class twice a week and a music program once a week as well.

Hughes Road Montessori School is a diverse learning center that provides a safe, loving, nurturing environment, honoring the uniqueness of each child.  Teachers recognize and cultivate the individual needs of the children so they may achieve academic excellence throughout life.

 

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Hughes Road Montessori School follows the philosophy established by Dr. Maria Montessori, allowing students to work at their own pace and according to their individual choices of activities.  Here, discovery, self-discipline and a love of learning are established.
